Image of Halcampidae Andres 1883
Description:
Description: 12 tentacle anemone.
The animal is Halcampa arctica (sometimes confused with/possibly synonymous with H. duodecimcirrata).
It is not an Edwardsia—it’s a member of another family, Halcampidae. Both groups are burrowers, so this confusion is common.
The identification in Jones and Gates 2010 is incorrect.
