Description:
LargeStrolled onto the grass ride and there must have been half a dozen dark coloured dragonflies on the wing. Beautiful, but none showed any hint of settling in order to allow me to attempt a picture. Then this yellow dragonfly entered the scene and promptly alighted on a dead twig in some brambles. Stumbling through the thorny undergrowth in my sandals as gently (but swiftly) as possible, got the dragonfly in frame and off she flew! Of course. But I waited, and she returned. Thank you. Female Common Darter
