Epipyxis tubulosa.The lorica of the genus Epipyxis is not smooth but structured. In Epipyxis tubulosa this structure, however, is so fine that it appears unimposing in light microscopy. Scale bar indicates 10 m. Sample from Lake Constance in the vicinity of Bodman. The image was built up using several photomicrographic frames with manual stacking technique.
