Description: English: Greater Sooty Owl (Tyto tenebricosa) preens before total darkness in the rainforest. Fine white spots cover the crown, nape and down the breast. A powerful hunter, the Sooty Owl is a predator which preys on almost all tree and surface-dwelling small mammals.
