Description:

Description: The dark side, returns! On Thursday night I ran the garden trap once more and attracted various visitors to the lamp. Large Yellow Underwing were back on the top and Large Ranunculus increased in numbers to 5 individuals. Black Rustic was the only new species for the year, looking back at my garden records I missed out on this species completely last year, so it was nice to see it appear again. Still getting a few end of Summer visitors and I seem to be getting a Hornet each time I trap! They are certainly having a good year as I have seen plenty about as opposed to Wasps where I have hardly seen any!
