Description: A pleasing variety Back to trapping, and with a slightly cooler and less favourable night ahead compared to the two weekend nights, I wasn't expecting much. Luckily the cloud stuck around, and so did the moths and again not a huge amount, but a nice array of new species for the year making it another 10 to add to the year list. The majority of the catch was made up of Mottled Rustic (15) and Heart & Dart (34). A nice splash of colour with Barred Yellow and Small Emerald featuring for the first time this year. Privet Hawk-moth made up the size of the catch quite literally!
