Description: English: Drawing by C. E. Simon of a Giardia trophozoite obtained from individuals from Maryland, South Carolina, and a U.S. soldier in France. Preparations were fixed in Schandinn's solution, and stained with Heidenhain's haematoxylin. Flagella were stained with eosin-methylene azure mixtures or Mann's eosin-methyl blue mixture.
