Helleborus x ericsmithii - Flickr - peganum
Description:
Description: A variable hybrid (niger x (lividus x argutifolius)), this individual has the compact size, silvery markings and purple tint of lividus very much in evidence. The flowers turn a particularly rich colour after the anthers and nectaries drop, as you can see. The fresh flowers are greeny cream, like the bud down there on the right hand side. Not a good plant for shade I've found - much better in an open sunny position. Date: 7 January 2003, 03:43. Source: Helleborus x ericsmithii. Author: peganum from Small Dole, England.
