Hypholoma capnoides 2950
Description:
Description: Hypholoma capnoides (Fr.) P. Kumm. Location: Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin Co., California, USA Observation Notes: At first John Brown and I both thought this cluster was Hypholoma fasciculare but the gill color was off and the taste was mild. The buried cluster has long stipes more typical of the species. Image Notes: Spores are from a spore drop, not a gill squash. Photo was taken on high dry at 400X and each division is 3.367um. : For more information about this, see the observation page at Mushroom Observer.
