Calopogon barbatus (White form) (6947669719)

Description:
Description: The less common white version of the Pale grasspink orchid, which I also found this morning at Jonathan Dickinson State Park about 50 yards off the Florida Trail. I saw dozens of pink ones but only two of the white. This one was growing on the edge of a depression marsh in the pine flatwoods. In one of last year's photos, I describe the unique method of pollination this species uses. www.flickr.com/photos/pondapple/5433321237/. Date: 2 March 2012, 09:14.
