Description:
Description: San Clemente Island lotus (Acmispon dendroideus var. traskiae) is endemic to San Clemente Island, the southernmost of eight Channel Islands off the southern California coast. The federally endangered plant is typically less than 4 ft. tall and has bushy habit and elongated fruits. It has slender erect green branches with each leaf having three to five leaflets.
