A Pheasant Tailed Jacana in Courtship (50188559997)

Description:
Description: I was fortunate to witness these birds courtship today which lasted around 10-15 mins. The shots are not quite clean, but I am happy to have seen the behaviours. One thing I learnt, its impossible to tell male from female and vice versa since they are both totally identical in all aspects. Only way to differentiate is the size which as one can note, the male on top is slightly smaller than the female below. But if only one bird is seen, I am not sure how the gender can be ascertained. Many thanks in advance for your views / feedback. Date: 3 August 2020, 17:26. Source: A Pheasant Tailed Jacana in Courtship. Author: Hari K Patibanda.
