Description: We found this specimen in a roadside ditch recovering from an apparent hit by a car. When we approached, the cobra spreat its hood and began to hiss. Chinese cobras are not aggressive but when not able to escape will bite if necessary. Its venom can be fatal occasionally. Xingping, Guangxi. Date: 19 September 2017, 09:35.
