Description: Brookesia peyrierasi is a member of the genus Brookesia, endemic to Madagascar. Most species of this genus are small to very small in size, browninsh or greyish, and have a terrestrial lifestyle. The exact number of species within this genus is still subject of debate. Many have only been described within the last decades, based on subtle morphological differences in their hemipenises, in the arrangement of head crests or the position of spines above the eyes.
