Description: Black Partridge (Francolinus francolinus) is the State Bird of the Indian State of Haryana. It is a member of the Pheasant family and is, like a typical member of the Phasianidae pretty colourful with black and brown plumage with some white also. The a resident of Northen India. The interesting three syllable call, heard during mornings and evenings is interpreted differently by different people.
