Description:
Description: I just looked this up in Hilliers, Philips & Rix and Graham Stuart Thomas's books and all of them tell us that this is a rather tender evergreen for moist peaty shady sites. All agree that it gets quite big. None however mention the rather nice Euonymus-like fruits. Ours has grown well (and seeded about) on our heavy loam soil with no shelter or shade and is effectively a large deciduous shrub with quite a nice yellow autumn colour. So there!.
