Description: Carabus montivagus is a species of black coloured beetle from Carabidae family, that can be found in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, all of the republics of the former Yugoslavia, and European Turkey. Most of carabus genus are nocturnal, predatory beetles that feed on snails, earthworms and caterpillars.
