Dicranosterna immaculata DC1

Image of Dicranosterna

Description:

Description: English: Acacia Leaf Beetle (Dicranosterna immaculata) is a small (~1cm long) native beetle which is often seen munching into wattles in Dungog Common, especially Acacia irrorata. All the specimens I've seen in the Common so far, have been darkish brown with a poorly contrasting thick black stripe down each wing cover. However www.brisbaneinsects.com/../BrownBlackLeafBeetle.htm shows they can also be red with a strongly contrasting black stripe. Date: 25 January 2021, 09:50:45.
