Phyllonotus pomum (Gmelin, 1791) photograph by Bob Peterson

Description:
Description: English: According by its author "this beautiful apple murex shell (Phyllonotus pomum), inhabited by a lucky hermit crab, ended up perfectly perched upon a limestone rock at low tide. I didn't adjust it's position in any way. A cool place to snooze away the morning while awaiting the return of the tide!" Photograph taken in North Palm Beach, Florida, United States. Date: 29 April 2016, 07:36:00. Source: Original image filed on Flickr. Author: Peterson, Bob.
