This Israeli species of Sycamore is different from the tree that goes by the same name in North America and some other places. It is, however, the same species climbed by Zacchaeus in the Gospel of Luke 19:4. Here one of the students on our study tour has climbed up to get a better vantage point for hearing our guide.
