Description: Native, cool season to yearlong green, perennial, hairy, branching, tufted herb, 10–90 cm tall. Leaves are opposite (rarely whorled), becoming alternate up the stem, obovate or oblanceolate, becoming linear up the stem, 5–70 mm long, 1–13 mm wide and usually hirsute. Flowerheads are cymes. Sepals are 3–16 mm long. The corolla is blue throughout or sometimes white outside; tube is 4–11 mm long; lobes are 6–20 mm long. Styles are 3-fid and not constricted. Capsules are ellipsoid or globose and 3–10 mm long. Flowering occurs throughout year. Grows in a variety of plant communities. Date: 9 October 2014, 14:38.
