Great Hornbill, Buceros bicornis - Female
Description:
Location : Botanic Garden, Singapore7th. November 2005Seen contemplating fruits in a Sea Fig tree Ficus superba.This is a much photographed escapee from the Jurong Bird Park. The tag on her right foot is the tell tale sign. Her large size indicates that she may have originally come from India as the Malaysian and Thai birds are generally smaller.
