Oddball neuropteran
Description:
A "beaded lacewing", Lomamyia species--the only North American genus in this family (an oddball group with an odd name, Berothidae). I found this at my porch light on a cool evening, just after dark. Captured and posed. I see one or two per summer on my porch, and have found them a couple of times at lighted sheets in woodlands on collecting expeditions.
