Colorful foliage ground beetle
Description:
Found buried in a dandelion blossom and removed for a photo session. (Only its rear end was visible in the dandelion, but the orange color caught my attention as I was weeding.) It ran very rapidly, and was hard to corral. Length was about 6 mm.-BugGuide accountPCCA20090411-7895A
