Grapholita jungiella - a micro-moth 1e
Description:
A micro-moth, Grapholita jungiella, which some call "Vetch Piercer". ID confirmed on iSpot & Hants Moths - thanks!! I hadn't intended to pick this one up, but it's grass stalk was shaking in the wind. I was holding the stalk still for the camera, when the moth decided my thumbnail might be comfortable. Found in a chalk meadow, Magdalen Hill Down butterfly reserve, Winchester, Hampshire, UK, 30th April 2014. OS Grid Ref: SU 506 290
