Leptomonas jaculum . Swimming cells are needle-shaped, curved, often spiraling, gradually tapering posteriorly, 15-30 microns long. Contractile vacuole in the front end. Nucleus near the centre of the cell. Flagellum about the cell length. Attached cells nearly cylindrical.
