Habitat: An opening in Fagus sylvatica forest, almost flat terrain, calcareous ground, partly sunny place, exposed to direct rain, average precipitations 1.800-2.000 mm/year, average temperature 4-6 deg C, elevation 1.045 m (3.450 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: soil. - Comment: Growing in groups of many species. Truly endangered by collectors of flowers. Protected according to 'Uredba o zavarovanih prosto ivečih rastlinskih vrstah' Ur.l. RS, t. 46/2004. Enlisted in the Slovene Red List of rare and endangered species, marked by 'V' representing a vulnerable species.
