Image of Nutmeg Mannikin
Description:
There is a population of Nutmeg Mannikins in Fullerton near the trap. The trap is one of several used for monitoring wild bird blood by Orange County Vector Control Several of them return to it for the food, water and relative protection from the resident Coopers Hawk. I forgot my net and was unable to actually catch any of these tiny birds.
