Image of Alpine Pearlwort

Description:
Slo.: alpski pitomec - Habitat: Upland grassland, in a small snow valley, quite wet place, full sun, precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 0-2 deg C, elevation 1.960 m (6.400 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Comment: Determination not certain. Due to very small petals (length 1.7 2 mm) compared to normal size (2.8 - 3 mm) possibly Sagini x normaniana (S. procumbens x S. saginoides). However, number of stamens, which should be (4)5 in the latter case doesnt correspond to the photographed plants (which have (5)10 stamens). Eventually some other hybrid of S. saginoides?
