Description:
Watsonia pillansii is a beautiful South African bulb. I saw these carpets frm the road and couldn't resist stopping. Infortunately found out that the carpets are formed in a burnt Australian Acacia scrub and the Watsonia appears just for a short period and than disappear. Look at the green foliage, this is all germinating Acaicas, which are invasive in South Africa.
