Bulb of 2 or 3 scales, ovoid, 0.7--1.3 cm in diam. Stem 20--50 cm. Leaves 6--9, basal 2 opposite, others alternate or sometimes subopposite; leaf blade linear to narrowly lanceolate, 3--8 cm × 2--4(--6) mm, apex usually curved or cirrose. Inflorescence 1(or 2)-flowered; bracts 3, apex cirrose. Flower nodding, campanulate; pedicel 7--10 mm. Tepals yellowish green, slightly tessellated with purple, suboblong to subovate, 2--4 × 0.6--1.8 cm; nectaries suborbicular, projecting abaxially. Stamens 1.2--2.4 cm; filaments sometimes laxly papillose. Style 3-lobed; lobes 2--4 mm. Capsule narrowly winged. Fl. Jun. 2 n = 24*.
