Description

Densely tufted, hairless, perennial grass. The basal leaf sheats overlap and are distinctly flattened. Culms erect, up to 100 cm. inflorescence a panicle with a long narrow, contracted tip. Spikelets with toothed margins slightly coarse, olive-green edged with purple.
