They are native to The Philippines, Lebanon, India, Uganda, Yemen, Tunisia, Guinea, Malaysia, Tanzania, Albania, Senegal, France, China, Israel, Nigeria, Southeast Asia, Botswana, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Portugal, Libya, Liberia, Turkey, Côte d’Ivoire, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Ghana, Italy, Sudan, Malawi, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Africa, Yugoslavia, Swaziland, Sierra Leone, Algeria, Iraq, Thailand, Greece, Morocco, Zambia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Jordan, Syria, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Japan, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Namibia, Cameroon, Madagascar, Egypt, Angola, and Mali. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.67 m.
