Pterostylis nutansThe transparent window on top forms a dome in which the column lies. The sensitive labellum flicks up when gnats and other small insects near, trapping the pollinator inside the dome where it inevitably collects the pollinia or delivers its pollen load to the stigma.

This orchid likes shady locations next to large granite rocks. The flowering plants do not have a rosette of leaves. Those not flowering grow close to each other covering large areas of ground with their rosettes of leaves. I didn't think to take a photo of the rosettes. :((Photos: Jean
