Females 3.5-3.9mm. A species that is common throughout the Atlantic at low latitudes. This spcies is similar to, and has probably been confused with O. agassizi, which is a Pacific species

Female (1.7-2.0mm) very common species at midlatitudes in the North Atlantic. By day at 200-500m and migrating up to 50-300m at night.
