Agaricus teneroides Peck, Ann. Rep. N. Y. State Mns. 29: 39. 1878. Calera teneroides Sacc. Syll. Fung. 5: 861. 1887.
Pileus thin, campanulate or expanded, gregarious, 1-2.5 cm. broad; surface hygrophanous, brownish-cinnamon when moist, paler when dry; lamellae narrow, crowded, yellowish-cinnamon; spores nearly ellipsoid, subluteous, 7.5-8.5 X 4-5 /u; stipe straight, slender, hollow, concolorous, 2.5-5 cm. long, about 1 mm. thick.
Type locality:^ Greig, New York. Habitat: On soil or manure in woods. Distribution: New York.
