Eggs are deposited and thus hidden in vegetation.

Potamodromous. Migrating within streams, migratory in rivers, e.g. Saliminus, Moxostoma, Labeo. Migrations should be cyclical and predictable and cover more than 100 km.

Reaches less than 2.5 cm TL. Probably one of the endangered species. Maximum length of 15 cm TL in Ref. 13614 is erroneous; length needs better source (RF).
