Alepisauroidei is a suborder of ray-finned fishes. There are 159 species of Alepisauroidei, in 35 genera and 14 families. This suborder has been around since the hauterivian age. It includes groups like Largescale Deep Sea Lizardfishes, Telescope Fishes, and Lestidiidae. They are carnivores. They have sexual reproduction.
