This herbarium specimen was collected in 1969, details as follows: "Game 69/202 Small tree with leaves silvery beneath, and bark brown and fairly smooth. Old inflorescences in axils of leaves. Growing out of rock in a shady position in a slight clearing in forest, near the base of the highest waterfall in Dinner Run [East side of Mt. Lidgbird], altitude about 750 feet". A duplicate is at Kew and is cited in the Flora of Australia, Vol. 49 p.70. Lord Howe Island is in the Tasman Sea east of Australia.
