Description: Garden Catch 19/06/18 - Let it shine when it's warm & fine! Easily the best catch of the year so far happened on Tuesday 16th of June, after a lovely warm day and with dominant cloud cover towards the evening, it looked just perfect. I decided to therefore use the higher wattage and uv output 250w cleear bulb. By the morning the trap was heaving by my garden standards. 17 new species of for the year was impeccable to say the least! Garden species count for 2018 now upto 241. Here are the new for year species. Description: Managed another trip to Gade Springs on this date, setting up 4 traps this time all 50 metres apart. We managed a great deal of moths with close to 100 species again, unfortuately from then until now (with holiday and a house nmove in-between) I seem to have mislaid the catch report, so the photos will have to do! Highlights were my very first examples of Coronet (a scarce Moth in Hertfordshire) Pammene fasciana and Oegoconia caradjai. Date: 25 July 2012, 08:32. Source: [1236] Pammene fasciana.
