És inofensiu per als humans.[5]

It dwells at a depth range of 354–820 metres. It can reach a maximum standard length of 35.2 centimetres.[4]

Congriscus maldivensis is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van zeepalingen (Congridae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1939 door Norman.
