Diogenichthys laternatus és una espècie de peix de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.
Morfologia
Reproducció
És ovípar amb larves i ous planctònics.[5]
Depredadors
A Rússia és depredat per Beryx splendens[6] i Epigonus elegans.[7][8]
Hàbitat
És un peix marí i de clima subtropical que viu entre 0-2.091m de fondària.[4][9]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba al Pacífic oriental (des de Califòrnia[10] i Mèxic fins a Xile),[11][10] l'Atlàntic, l'Índic[12] i el Mar de la Xina Meridional.[13][4][14][15][5][16][17][18][19]
