Distinguished by having the following characteristics: Reduced suckers; pelvic fins separated (Ref. 92840).

Inhabits rocky substrates, coralline grounds and also in the area of Posidonia oceanica meadows in water depth from 3-36 m; macrofauna feeder from hard substrates which also feed on suprabenthic organisms (Ref. 92840).
