Description: Family: Verbenaceae Common name: Brazilian tea, Eduru vuttareni (Telugu) Distribution: Native of tropical America; Naturalised in India.Common in wet places. 50-80 cm tall herbs. Leaves elliptic obovate, serrate, base acute or decurrent; Flowers 6-8 mm across, violet, in 10-15cm long terminal spikes. In Andhra pradesh the leaves are used as leafy vegitable.
