Lava Dubautia

Part of the Silversword Alliance and endemic to southern portion of Big Island - Kilauea, Mauna Loa. Elevation around 4070 ft. on west rim near Jagger Museum.

Plant on the NW Kilauea crater rim, 4000 ft. Dry open area of lava rock and scattered Ohia trees. Often breezy with the NE trade winds. Endemic to Hawaii and part of the Silversword Alliance of species.
