Plasmodial amoeba from marine habitats forming a network of branching and anatomosing pseudopodial strands. With variations in life cycle, including a compact form, cysts, and small distributive cells. Nuclei with associated cytoskeletal (= flagellar?) structures. Superficial similarity with large centramoebid amoebae such as Stereomyxa, as well as with other large marine amoebae such as Leukarachnion. This area is in need of further attention. Two species described to date.
