2010.05.28 Vienna XXII. (heath 155 m AMSL).Here you can see one of the heaths of Lobau (with ripe seeds of Stipa pennata visible, and where many orchids and other rare species grow) endangered by Robinia pseucoacacia. The latter enrichen soil with nitrates and thus make the habitat unsuitable for them; the national park government removes R. pseudoacacia on this place every year, but roots still produce young shoots when spring arrives.
