Hawaii Wood Nettle

interrupta: interrupted, referring to the interrupted spike-like inflorescences.

Annual herb up to c. 1 m tall. Stinging hairs normally few, mostly along the upper part of the stem. Leaves broadly ovate, somewhat hairy on both sides with few stinging hairs; lateral veins 3-6 pairs; margin serrate.

Rare in Mozambique. This is only the second record for Mozambique and the Flora Zambesiaca area.

Almost pantropical.
