Casuarina equisetifolia (Beach Sheoak) is a species of tree in the family Casuarinaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Indonesia, Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands), Myanmar, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Thailand, Vanuatu, India, Australia, Vietnam, The Philippines, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Fiji. They have simple, scale leaf leaves and red flowers. Individuals can grow to 100 feet.
