Pileus regular, convex, 2.5-3.5 cm. broad; surface smooth, hygrophanous, brownish when moist, ochraceous-yellow when dry; context whitish; lamellae crowded, nearly plane, rounded behind, pale-cinnamon; spores subellipsoid, brownish-ferruginous, 6 i long; stipe equal, firm, stuffed or hollow, pruinose, striate, pallid or cinereous, 2.5-5 cm. long, about 2 mm. thick.
Type locality: Greig, New York. Habitat: On the ground in woods. Distribution: New York.
